PRIVATE PHOTO MANAGEMENT, BUILT FOR HOME
Bring the photos on your NAS, home server, or local drives into one easier-to-explore library. Browse your memories, find moments with intelligent search, and keep control of where your collection lives.
You have thousands of moments spread across drives, folders, and network storage. You remember the mountain hike, the beach at sunset, or that unforgettable family gathering—but not the filename. My Local Photos is designed to make your existing collection easier to browse and rediscover, without asking you to hand over your photo library to another storage provider.
Work with photographs stored on your own devices and network storage. Keep the storage decisions in your hands rather than being forced into a new cloud photo library.
Use intelligent photo discovery to look for the scene or subject you remember. Your collection becomes more useful when finding a memory does not depend on knowing its folder path.
Browse thumbnails, open full-screen photographs, and explore collections from a clean, browser-based interface built around your pictures.
1. Host it at home. Run My Local Photos on a supported computer or home server.
2. Connect your photos. Choose the folders or network locations that hold your existing collection.
3. Build your library. Let the app catalog supported files, generate previews, and prepare them for search.
4. Rediscover memories. Open the web interface and explore your library by browsing or searching.
Whether your collection lives on a NAS, a Mini PC, or attached storage, you should not need to reorganize your entire archive just to enjoy it. My Local Photos brings a gallery and discovery experience to the storage setup you already prefer.
Your home photo library can remain a home photo library. My Local Photos is built around local hosting and storage you control, rather than requiring all originals to move into a vendor-operated photo cloud. Learn how the architecture works—and the security practices that still matter for any self-hosted service.
For many of us, our most important photographs are already stored on drives and home NAS devices. Yet finding a particular memory can still mean clicking through years of folders. My Local Photos began with a simple idea: bring a pleasant, intelligent photo-library experience to storage you already own. The goal is to make local photo collections easier to discover and enjoy, without taking away the freedom to manage them yourself.
My Local Photos 2.10.0 is available now for 64-bit Linux—free for individuals to use for personal, non-commercial purposes.
